
Placement Introduction
The Training and Placement Cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Undergraduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.
We have been successful in maintaining our high placement statistics over the years and the fact that our students bear the recession blues with record breaking placements itself is a testimony to our quality. Our ingenious alumni have set new standards in the corporate world through their estimable contributions and it is my firm conviction that we will continue that legacy in the years to come.
The Training and Placement Cell organizes career guidance programs for all the students starting from first year. The cell arranges training programmes like Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Communication Skills Workshop etc and it also organizes Public Sector Exam Training for students who are interested to join Government Sectors. It also invites HR Managers from different industries to conduct training programmes for final year students.
DCET makes every effort to provide equal employment opportunities to the students in Core,Tech, Indian & Multi National companies. Our Experts facilitate the students to explore career options and impart knowledge on key competencies.

Objectives of Placement cell:
- Preparing students for competitive examinations like GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, GATE, CAT, etc.
- Offering industrial training to students during their academic journey.
- Organizing lectures, seminars, group discussions, and mock interviews for career guidance, entrepreneurship, and personality development.
- Assisting students in finding self-employment and job opportunities in India and abroad.
- Arranging on-campus recruitment to place final-year students in respectable organizations.
- Providing information and support for higher education options in India and overseas.
Responsibilities of Placement cell:
- Coordinating and administering training programs.
- Developing an annual training calendar for skills enhancement.
- Improving the placement segment through organizing Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), seminars, workshops, and internship programs.
- Establishing a dedicated placement facility and forging Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with industries.
- Crafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies for placement and training.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with major employers in various companies.
- Building and managing a comprehensive database of both companies and students.
- Collaborating with other engineering colleges and educational institutions to share resources for training needs.
- Providing assistance, guidance, and support for HR practices.
- Actively participating in conferences and seminars organized by industry associations such as CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), NHRD (National Human Resources Development), and HMA (Human Resource Management Association) to promote HR practices.
- Serving as an effective counselor and coordinator.
