Deccan College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad is one of the earliest institutions was established in the year 1984 and is Managed by Dar-Us-Salam Educational Trust (DET). The Trust was founded under the chairmanship of the Late Alhaj Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi (Member of Parliament) whose guidance over the years has been a great source of inspiration.

Deccan College of Engineering and Technology (DCET) is a prestigious minority institute affiliated with Osmania University that offers 9 bachelor programs in Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering computer science Engineering, Electronics and communication engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and instrumentation engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineerinjg, Production Engineering  and Information technology with over 39  years of rich standing in the educational sphere apart form these Bachelor programs, DCET  offers 5 masters program in Civil engineering(Structural Engineering), Civil Engineering(Transportation Engineering), ECE (Digital Systems), Masters of Computer Applications and Computer science engineering 

Deccan College of Engineering and Technology (DCET) is approved by AICTE, New Delhi; and recognized by Govt. of Telangana; Research activities on campus are conducted in accordance with vision and mission statements centered around a philosophy of inspiration, innovation, and implementation for the benefit of contemporary society. It extends into various fields such as programmable controllers, CAD/CAM, CNC machining, tool design, welding, embedded systems, and digital system design. There is also a focus on manufacturing, automation, business analytics, big data, cloud computing, wireless technology, image processing, and next-generation networking.

Admission to DCET is done based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam. Deccan College of Engineering & Technology has a dedicated placement center with tie-ups with many multinational companies.
