Dr. Mohd Zaker is an accomplished Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering with a strong academic background, professional dedication, and a passionate commitment to teaching and research. He holds a Ph.D. and M. E in Structural Engineering from Amina Institute of Technology,  (2015) with First Class Distinction, and  B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Nizam Institute of Engineering & Technology, JNTUH (2013). Over the past decade, he has served as Associate Professor at Deccan College of Engineering & Technology (2024–Present) and Nawab Shah Alam Khan College of Engineering & Technology (2014–2024), actively contributing to teaching, curriculum development, research coordination, department administration, and accreditation activities. His responsibilities have included lecturing undergraduate and postgraduate students, enhancing curriculum content, mentoring students in research and publications, serving as Board of Studies member, IQAC member, Head of Department in-charge, NAAC and NBA criteria coordinator, Institute of Engineers coordinator, project coordinator, library in-charge, exam branch coordinator, and advisor for student activities including sports and tech fests. He has published several research papers in reputed journals such as JST, IJMTE, GIJASH, IJCRT, GJESR, and IJESRT on topics including self-healing concrete, bacterial concrete, binary blended hybrid concrete, glass fiber reinforcement, earthquake vulnerability assessment, torsional effects in buildings, and steel fiber–reinforced concrete. He has also presented at important conferences related to post-pandemic education reforms, sustainable construction, and innovations in engineering technology. His achievements include being awarded Best Assistant Professor (2018), receiving consistent 5-star student evaluations for three consecutive years, and earning the Dean’s Prize for undergraduate research. A highly motivated academician, he enjoys interdisciplinary research in experimental concrete technology, structural analysis, and optimization of engineering systems, and is widely recognized for his enthusiasm, innovative teaching style, strong student engagement, and collaborative approach with colleagues. His technical expertise includes STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD 2D, Primavera P6, MS Office, Estimation & Costing, enabling him to deliver industry-oriented learning. Born on 10 April 1990 in Hyderabad, where he currently resides, he is known for his sincerity, dedication, and a strong belief in transforming students’ lives through quality education. He remains committed to contributing at a higher academic platform such as Ghousia College of Engineering, aspiring to teach, guide, and innovate under distinguished leadership while assuring the highest level of professional integrity and service excellence.
