Research and Development
Research is “creative and systematic work undertaken to increase the stock of knowledge”. It involves collecting, organizing, and analyzing evidence to increase understanding of a topic, characterized by a particular attentiveness to controlling sources of bias and error.
Apart from the benefits of acquiring knowledge, research at college helps students enhance their problem-solving abilities and logical thinking skills while also deepening their understanding of the interconnectedness between different areas of study.Research allows students to pursue their interests, learn something new, hone their problem-solving skills, and challenge themself in new ways.
DCET encourages students to work on their novel ideas and do research projects for their Mini-Projects and Major Projects. Students will be guided by a mentor–a faculty member in their project work.
DCET has to its credit, 600+research publications in International Journals, International Conferences, and National Conferences.Four Book Chapters have been published by faculty members. DCET Faculty members have published twenty books available on the online book purchase portal.Research Publications by DCET Faculty and Students have gained thousands of citations across the globe.DCET Faculty have 22 Patents Published under the Patent Office, Government of India, and abroad.

Research Facilities
Research and Development (R&D) plays a critical role in the process of innovation. It is primarily an investment and effort in technology and future capabilities which is transformed into new products, processes, and services. DCET has taken a quantum leap into Research and Development initiatives in recent years, constantly encouraging faculty and students for out-of- the-box thinking and generating new and revolutionary ideas to bring about societal change.
DCET is devoted to enhancing knowledge through research across all academic disciplines. Focus areas include Environment, Dynamics, CAD/CAM, CNC Machining, Embedded Systems and Low Power VLSI Digital System Design. Emphasis is also being laid on Business Analytics, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Wireless technology and Multimedia for video, text processing and Next Generation Networks.
The Institution has to its credit, many research publications in International Journals, National Journals, International Conferences and National Conferences. This includes over research articles and conference papers listed in the Scopus database. research articles listed in Web of Science database. Patents have been published / granted by faculty and students.
Following facilitiesare provided for both students and research associates to implement research-based projects under the guidance of faculty. It can be utilized by B.E and M.Tech students extensively for their project and research work.
