The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) is headed by Dr. Md. Azizuddin, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and being Co-ordinated by Dr. Syed Azeem Pasha,Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering.Training and Placement Cell is being Co-ordinated by Mr.Syed Mujtaba Mahdi Mudassir.
The IEDC aims at creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the campus and also provides a forum for students to translate an idea into a fundable technology business. The cell also has an objective of equipping the faculty who are interested in and passionate about implementing programs. The cell shall encourage the students to think beyond placements or employment. Many motivating speeches and awareness programs shall be conducted to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit of the students.

Vision :
To cater the needs of budding entrepreneurs with innovative ideas of societal relevance and there introducing a culture of entrepreneurship inside campus which strengthens the education system

To develop an eco-friendly system with required infrastructure which will enable students and faculty to innovate & develop their ideas with industrial standards and to seek support from government, industry and reputed academic institutions globally and create employment opportunity

DCET Students Completed Internship at OTBI
Students of Deccan College of Engineering & Technology, successfully completed Internship at Osmania Technology Business Incubator (OTBI) Osmania University, Hyderabad, during the period Nov. 2023 to Jan. 2024. DCET wishes the students all the very best in their carrier and all future endeavors.
Turaab Akbar of 3rd year CSE Department, Founder & CEO of Zelta, Won the National Level Case Study Competition by Masters’ Union School of Business on Toddle, a SaaS platform for education that is revolutionising the sector with its unique solutions. Toddle – Your Teaching Partner enables teachers to collaborate and track learning results across a variety of curricular frameworks, including IB, UbD®, Cambridge, British, and others. It reaches over 40,000 educators in over 1,500 schools in over 100 countries.
They contested against 500 students and made it to the top 12 finalists. To make the finest recommendations for Toddle, They had to demonstrate their abilities in research, analysis, presentation, communication, and innovation.
Abdullah bin Sayeed Basarvi, Final year student of CSE, Founder and Director DCRYPT and CODREL, got selected as one among the 250 toppers from various colleges across Telangana for AI ML training program at IIIT Hyderabad under the I-hub data and being consistently among the top 10 performers there. His pursuit for Master’s degree and Research at IIIT has come one step closer.
Abdullah bin Sayeed Basarvi, Final year student of CSE, visiting Osmania Technology and Business Incubator to pitch the idea of their start up which later got incubated there. Perseverance and persistence to achieve success and make a change has got his idea to reach Osmania University and the support of IEDC DCET and CEO Dr Hafiz Basha (OTBI) for implementing his idea and product in 15 colleges affiliated with OU has given him and his team a much needed leap.

InnoVent-2024
With immense pleasure it is to announce that as a part of celebration of 40th year of establishment of DCET, a student’s event “InnoVent- 2024” was conducted successfully on 27th July 2024 in DCET campus.This event is a platform dedicated to showcasing student’s innovative ideas and projects. “InnoVent- 2024” is designed to highlight and promote creativity and innovation among student community.
All students of BE., ME., M.Tech. & MCA participated in teams.It was an excellent opportunity for all the students to present their innovative projects, prototypes, and ideas across various fields of study. Innovative Ideas were excellently presented by all participants and winners were awarded.
ONE DAY STUDENTS ORIENTATION WORKSHOP ON NPTEL & SWAYAM PLUS
A Two days skill development program by DAIKIN AIR CONDITIONERS
Deccan College of Engineering and Technology ( Deccan Group of Institutions), Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) organized ” A Two days skill development program” on 25th and 26th April 2024 by DAIKIN AIR CONDITIONERS, for students of Mechanical and Production Engineering. Program comprised of theoretical session followed by Hands on practical sessions. The program was enthusiastically attended by more than 60 students and the students were very happy to gain the knowledge and getting skilled to become industry ready. We are very much thankful to the Management for giving the permission and also thankful to Director DGI and Principal DCET for continuous support and encouragement for conducting such programs. The program was successfully organized with the support of HoD MPED, Staff and students.
DECATHON -2024
Deccan College of Engineering and Technology ( Deccan Group of Institutions), Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) in Association with DGI NDLI organized one Day Hackathon “DECATHON -2024” on 27th April 2024, for the students of BE, ME, M.Tech& MCA. DECATHON -2024 was conducted in two streams Hardware and Software. Total 32 teams participated enthusiastically and their presentation was applauded by judges. Winner certificates were distributed on the same day. We are very much thankful to the Management for giving the permission and also thankful to Director DGI and Principal DCET for continuous support and encouragement for conducting such programs. The program was successfully organized with the support of all the HoD’s, Staff and students.

An infosession on “Insights into Entrepreneurship” conducted by EdVenture Park, and organized by Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, DCET. The guest speaker, Mr. Maaz Ahmed Khan, Founder and CEO of Torq Electric, led an electrifying session, who was welcomed by Mr. Mohammed Azizuddin, IEDC Head, and Mr. Syed Azeem Pasha, IEDC coordinator.

Department of ECE in collaboration with IEDC,DGI-NDLI CLUB and IQAC CELL of Deccan College of Engg. & Tech. is organising a seminar on “Competency For Engineering Faculty “in quality education transformation in Higher Education Institution on 16 December2023 by Prof M.A.Nayeem HOD ECE department. It deals with drive to work towards a standard of Excellence and emphasis on journey of learning and not a end destination. Discuss various aspects of mastery,impact and influence overall.
