Grievances Redressal Committee is formed in order to keep the healthy working atmosphere and to uphold the dignity of the department/institute by ensuring strife free atmosphere in the department to promote cordial student to student relationship, student to teacher relationship relations etc. This cell also helps students and parents to record their complaints and solve their problems related to academics, resources and personal grievances. Suggestion / complaint Boxes have been installed at different places in the campus, in which the students who want to remain anonymous, can put in writing their grievances and their suggestions for improving the academic/administration in the department. Students and parents can lodge a complaint. Students can also lodge ragging complaints. The person concerned can personally approach or write / e-mail to any member of the committee. They can send email on grievances, or write an application and submit it to committee convener.

Roles and Responsibilities:-
Raising awareness about plagiarism and plagiarism detection software, addressing allegations of plagiarism involving researchers, students, faculty, and staff. The Plagiarism Assessment and Investigation Panel (PAIP) will be authorized to evaluate the extent of plagiarism and suggest appropriate penalties. Following an inquiry, the PAIP will deliver a report containing its penalty recommendations to the Institutional Academic Integrity Panel (IAIP) within 30 days of receiving the complaint or initiating the investigation.

Basic Electrical Engineering Lab
Background:
This lab is specially for Under graduate students of ECE, MECH, ETE, IT, EIE, CSE, EEE. In a basic electrical engineering lab, student typically can learn fundamental concepts and perform experiments (as a part of their curriculum) related to electricity and circuits.
Description:
Here are some common topics covered in a Basic electrical engineering lab:
- Ohm’s Law: Ohm’s Law relates voltage, current, and resistance in a circuit. The formula is V = IR, where V is voltage in volts (V), I is current in amperes (A), and R is resistance in ohms (Ω). In the lab, you may measure voltage, current, and resistance to verify Ohm’s Law.
- Circuit Analysis: Student will learn how to analyse simple series and parallel circuits using Kirchhoff’s laws and basic circuit analysis techniques. This includes calculating total resistance, current, and voltage across components.
- Power Analysis: Student will learn to calculate and measure power dissipation in resistive circuits using the formula P = VI, where P is power in watts (W), V is voltage, and I is current.
- Verification of Thevinens and Nortons theorems (with DC excitation)
- Loading of a transformer: measurement of primary and secondary voltages and currents, and power.
- Three-phase transformers: Star and Delta connections. Voltage and Current relationships (line- line voltage, phase-to-neutral voltage, line and phase currents).
- Measurement of phase voltage/current, line voltage/current and power in a balanced three-phase circuit connected in star and delta.
- OCC characteristics of DC Generator
- Synchronous speed of two and four-pole, three-phase induction motors. Direction reversal by change of phase-sequence of connections.
- Load test on DC Shunt motor.
Demonstration of cut-out sections of machines: dc machine, induction machine (squirrel cage rotor), synchronous machine (field winging – slip ring arrangement) and single-phase induction machine.

Electrical Circuits Laboratory & Electrical Measurements And Instrumentation Lab
Background:
Electrical Circuits laboratory is the basic lab of the electrical department, where students can get a practical knowledge in time response and frequency response of series/parallel RC,RL and RLC circuits and verification of theorems.
Description:
Here are some common topics covered in an Electrical circuits laboratory:
- Time response and frequency response characteristics of R,L,C series and parallel circuits.
- Verification of the network theorems.
- Various parameters of two port networks.
- Working on constructing circuits using various components such as resistors, capacitors
- Inductors, Switches and power supplies on a bread board or circuit board. These circuits may
Include simple charging and discharging networks, RC/RL circuits.
- Cirucit simulation:- Students may use software tools like PSPICE (Program simulation with integrated circuit Emphasis) or MATLAB/Simulink to simulate and analyse electrical circuits
before implementing them physically. This helps student to understand circuit behavior and trouble shoot issues.

Background:
This lab is specially for under graduate electrical students. In the lab students will do the regular academic experiments i.e Engineering Drawing through AutoCAD software for III-SEM B.E.students.
Description:
This lab makes the students identify and draw different components of electrical system. They
get familiar with the drawings of control and wiring diagrams. Winding diagrams of electrical
machines and the starter diagrams of A.C and D.C machines.

Lines, Arcs, curves, shapes, filling of objects, object editing & transformation.

Digital Signal Processing Lab
Background:
This lab basically prepares the students for MATLAB and makes them familiar in developing code to generate different discrete signals and perform basic operations. Simulation Of Electrical Systems Laboratory is well equipped with all the required software to do their academic experiments. In addition to the software required for the curriculum simulation experiments this lab consists of additional software which will used for their project work and research work as well.

Simulate the concepts of Electrical Circuits, Control Systems and Power Systems and interpret data.
Demonstrate the knowledge of programming environment, compiling, debugging, linking and executing variety of programs in MATLAB.

Background:
The lab provides the foundation of electrical engineering. This lab aims at providing students the knowledge about various electrical machines. Students are made familiar to learn operation and performance characteristics of d.c machines by conducting various experiments and tests practically.
The students will understand the operation and performance characteristics of transformers by conducting various experiments and tests.
Description:
Here are some common topics covered in Machines-I lab:
Magnetization characteristics of a separately excited D.C. generator.
Determination of the load characteristics of shunt and compound generators.
Determination of the performance and mechanical characteristics of series, shunt and compound motors.
Separation of iron and friction losses and estimation of parameters in D.C. machine.
Speed control of D.C. Shunt motor using shunt field control and armature control methods.
Separation of core losses in a single phase transformer.
Open circuit and short circuit and load test on a single phase transformer.
Sumpner’s test on two identical transformers.
Three phase Transformer connections.
Three phase to two phase transformation and open delta connection.

No-load test, blocked rotor test and load test on 3-phase induction motor.

POWER ELECTRONICS LAB
Background:
The lab provides the facilities of research & development for Electrical engineering. This lab aims at providing students the knowledge about closed loop control of various power electronic converters (both AC and DC). Students are made familiar with power electronic circuits and their intended use in various applications. This laboratory is primarily aimed to meet the requirements of practical work meant for Components basic analysis, designing and testing of power electronic circuits and drives. All Power electronic devices and their characteristics, applications can be studied.
Description:
Power electronics lab is equipped with modern experimental set-ups for under graduates taking the Electrical and Electronics Engineering course. Lab includes the characteristics of power electronics devices like SCR, MOSFET & IGBT, UJT firing circuits, the operation of Rectifiers, Choppers, Inverters, AC Voltage Controllers and Cyclo converters.
At the end of the course students will be able to
Able to understand speed control of motors by using controlled rectifier
Able to understand the applications of cyclo-converters
The student will be able to simulate different power electronic devices using software.

CONTROL SYSTEMS LABORATORY
Background:
The lab provides foundation of Control system. The lab aims at providing students the knowledge about various control system devices. Students are made familiar with the basic control operations intended for various applications. The laboratory is primarily aimed to meet the requirement of control systems study, analysis, design and testing. All the fundamental components, controllers, compensators and their characteristics along with the applications can be studied.
Description:
Control Systems lab is special lab well equipped with the latest signal generator, oscilloscope, and digital trainer kits and measuring instruments. Students of the parent department study analyze and design the controllers which are the part of their regular curriculum. Special equipment such as Amplifier, Synchro’s are available for the purpose of system study. The students in the lab will be able to develop transfer function of various control system plants practically by conducting the experiments and they will get familiar with software such as PSPICE and MATLAB.

POWER SYSTEMS LAB
Background:
Power Systems lab is special and well equipped with the transformers, transmission line, synchronous machine and electromagnetic relays. Guidance is provided to the B.E students by a team of expert faculty and lab technicians. The labs are provide the students an understanding of characteristics of various power systems components and the circuit performance.
Description:
The students will be able to determine ABCD constants of transmission lines and
evaluate regulation, efficiency, acquire knowledge in relay setting for safe operating of power system.
The students will understand the concepts of string efficiency and dielectrics strength.
Here are some common topics covered in Power systems lab:
Determination of regulation & efficiency of Short, Medium and Long transmission lines.
IDMT characteristics of Over-current relay & Study of Bucholz relay.
Determination of A, B, C, D constants of Short, Medium and Long lines. Drawing of Circle diagrams.
Differential protection of transformer.
Sequence impedance of 3-Phase Alternators.
Determination of positive, negative and zero-sequence reactance of 3- Phase transformers using sequence current excitation fault calculation.
Characteristics of Static relays.
Determination of dielectric strength of oils and study of Megger.
Measurement of capacitance of 3-core cables.
Simulation of string of insulators for determination of Voltage distribution and String efficiency.

MICROPROCESSOR AND MICROCONTROLLER LABORATORY
Background:
This lab has various types of microprocessors, micro controller trainer kits along with interfacing modules to demonstrate the detailed applications of microprocessors. The purpose of this laboratory is to train the students to be familiar with the software and hardware of microprocessors so that they can gain enough experiences to meet the demand of the microprocessor era.
The facilities in the laboratory enable students to build a firm background in microprocessor hardware as well as software. Students learn about assembly language programming, interfacing of programmable chips and peripherals .They acquire the practical skills sufficient to design and realize basic microprocessor-based systems.
Description:
This laboratory is used to provide intensive practical exposure to the students in the field of microprocessor architecture and industrial control through them. Different exercises in this lab includes Serial Data Communication between PC and 8051 microprocessor trainer kit. The lab also provides the facility to interface the microprocessor and microcontroller concepts.
Here are some common topics covered in microprocessor lab:
Familiarize with the assembly language programming.
Write programs for given task using different addressing modes.
Interface various IO devices .
Write programs using various interrupts.
Interface the microcontroller for some real-life applications.
Current Equipment:
Microprocessor kit (8086), Microprocessor kit (8051), MASM software.
Each student has individual system to the programs. Students dump the programs and check the results.

The Laboratories are being continually upgraded and equipment reflecting the latest technology is being added.A total amount of Rs4.5 lakhs was spent on upgrading Circuits & Measurements Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Control Systems Lab and Electrical Machines Lab.
Three new labs were established at a total cost of Rs. 21.25 lakhs. Computer Simulation Lab was established with 24 IBM P-4 systems, a UPS and brand new computer table & cabinets at a cost of Rs.7.2 lakhs. Softwares such as PSCAD, MATLAB, SIMULINK with control systems tool box were installed costing Rs4.85 lakhs.DSP LAB was established with state-of-the-art DSP trainer kits, signal processing tool box and filter design tool box at a total cost of Rs 6.8 lakhs.Integrated Circuits Lab was established at a total cost of Rs 2.4 lakhs.Equipments such as oscilloscopes,function generators, training kits were purchased.
