Deccan College of Engineering and Technology offers a 4 year Undergraduate Programme (B.E) and a 2years P.G programme (M.E) in Engineering and a 3 year Postgraduate Program in Computer Applications (MCA).

The admission to the B.E. and M.C.A. courses, excepting NRI Quota, is through a State-Level Entrance Test called "Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Common Entrance Test" (EAMCET) and Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET- for MBA & MCA) respectively, conducted by the Government of Telangana. The admission to M.E is either through GATE or PGECET.

Admission Procedure - B.E and M.E Courses.

  • 70% seats are alloted by the Convenor, EAMCET & PGECET (State Government Concerned). In this 70%, all the seats are of uniform fee.
  • Remaining 30% are filled by Management of the college.
  • 85% seats are reserved for local candidates:

Local Candidate Means:

  • Studied in a particular / Concerned University area for a consecutive period of 4 years preceding year of passing 15% seats are reserved for Non-Local Candidates.
  • Remaining 30% are filled by Management of the college.
  • 85% seats are reserved for local candidates:

Non-Local Candidate Means:

  • Residing other than concerned university area.
  • Not studying consecutively for four years.
  • Less than seven years stay.
  • If a candidate has studied in other state but his/her parent are domicile of the state /University area concerned (minimum of 10 years stay).

For Management quota seats:

  • Admission Notification is published by the college in almost all dailies of the state.
  • Application forms are sold and registered.
  • Candidates are admitted on the basis of merit in qualifying examinations.

Lateral Entry Admissions:

  • Under this category diploma holders who qualify ECET entrance examinations are admitted directly into BE 2nd year.
  • 10% of the total intake is admitted under this category
  • 100% seats are filled by the Convener on the basis of ECET rank.
