Biography : Dr. Syed Tahseen Hussain is an Associate Professor in Physics in the department of SH&M. He received his Master degree in Applied Physics with electronics as specialization from JNTU-Hyderabad, 1992. He pursued his research work in the field of Applied Optics, Specific to fiber optics and subsequently obtained Ph.D degree from Osmaina University. He is affiliated to optical society of America, USA and Journal for pure and applied Physics, India. He also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering from University of Hyderabad in 2002.

He joined Deccan College of Engineering. & Technology as Assistant Professor in the year 1997 and became Associate Profess in the year 2007. He has attended 16 national/International/Conferences/Seminars/Workshop and Published 03 research papers in journals. He has organized national workshop on Applied Optics in Association with Optical Society of America USA in the year 2008 where participants have got the chance to listen from renowned speaker of University of Florida USA and other eminent Professor.

His vision is to develop technology orientation and analytical capabilities of every student, and committed to provide students with a strong, broad based fundamental engineering education and prepare the students for careers in industry, teaching and other research organizations. He also plans to develop entrepreneurial skills in students so that they would drive the sprint of growth of our economy and would be able to generate employment opportunities for other qualified and skilled people.

He personally look forward to integrate his experience over the years in teaching, industry and research into the learning systems and direct the collective efforts of the faculty at the college to build a comprehensive methodology that encompasses all that matters for nurturing the minds of our students and for preparing students to face the challenges the technology and engineering sector would offer in the future and succeed in offering technology solutions for the betterment of the society and our nation
